In March we are going to have two social events for the women at Charlotte. The idea is that these are easy-invite events, providing an opportunity for our non-Christian friends to meet with and get to know other Christians. There will be no explicit gospel input, other than an invite to our upcoming events, instead the evenings will be full of time to chat and develop new friendships. To aid this, both events will be limited in numbers and ticketed events. So please ensure you buy your tickets beforehand to avoid disappointment.
The first event is happening on March 8th - The science of good coffee: An evening of coffee fun in the form of filter coffee demonstrations, coffee tasting, a right good coffee education.
Edinburgh's newest speciality coffee bar, Brew Lab, takes the science of good coffee seriously. As well as their espresso machine, The Slayer, they can brew you up a Clever Dripper or V60 using speciality single origin coffee. On the night you will experience two hours of coffee brewing, tasting and plenty of chat. You will have the chance to learn about different filter methods and how to write tasting notes for different beans. The winner of the best tasting notes might be in for a surprise too! As well as that, there'll be some of delicious cakes on offer.
Tickets are available from Rachel for £10. The evening will run from 7.30-9.30pm. Invites are available in electronic format - email womenatcharlotte@gmail.com - view the invites here.
The second event is happening on March 21st - A Girls night out. An evening of pampering, jewellery and cake! More details will follow once the arrangements are confirmed.
